This season, Portuguese-born Cristiano Ronaldo has not played at his peak level. Whether this is because CR7 is already 37 years old or because of his insufficient playing time, CR7 is simply not the same.
The players who were called up will enjoy a day or two of rest as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar approaches. Ronaldo has done his due diligence throughout that time to talk about what has been happening at Manchester United behind closed doors. Following this eruption of his, CR7 may have played its final match for Manchester United. He disparaged Manchester United, coach Erik Ten Hag, and the club's owners with his appearance this week on the Piers Morgan show.
He discussed the club's operations. In his words, "same equipment, pool, crew, and everything," the club has not undergone renovations since 2005. He continued by describing how, following the sacking of their coach, they hired Ralf Rangnick as their coach, who is a sporting director, even though "no one had ever heard of the guy." He also said that the new coach, Erik Ten Hag, disrespected him and that he does not respect those who disrespect others; "The coach showed me no respect," he said. "In light of this, the relationship is what it is." He keeps telling the press that he came to me, likes me, and so on, but it's all for the press. It's questionable whether Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford after the World Cup following this bombshell interview. What's to come awaits us.
